Shokat. I want to thank you for helping me turn my life around. I have now not had a drink for over 10 weeks since first seeing you in August. As well as stopping drinking I have been able to start to lower my antidepressants which I have been on for about 10 years. I now sleep better and enjoy life more.

Hi - have been away kayak training up in the highlands and now starting a weeks holiday - no alcohol and feel 100 percent fitter. Have been in social company in pups/restaurants etc and have no problem in quietly stating that I do not drink alcohol. Only challenge is to find a decent range of soft drinks that are not 'sugary sweet!'. All best and many thanks. Roddy

All going well – have not had a craving for alcohol at all – not even thought about it ! So not had a drink since last Thursday! Fantastic!

Philippa: This is truly the best thing that has happened in my life for a long time. I came to you because I knew I must change my life, and couldn't carry on the way I was. I have prayed for help and guidance. I craved for a peaceful life and my prayers have been answered. I needed to sort my life out and move out of this very unhappy marriage I am in but in my heart I knew that I would probably end up in an apartment on my own drowning my sorrows, and feeling sorry for myself. I was having visions of losing my job, my driving licence, because I have been out in my car to fetch another bottle when one didn't do the job. I have been so lucky not to have hurt any one in or been involved in an accident. So you see you have saved my life. I could have lost my driving licence and my job which in turn would have meant losing my home and everything else - just thinking about it makes me feel cold. I will be visiting my Dr to tell him how well I feel after your amazing treatment.

On Sunday - two days after his first session - Dennis called me and said, My family is so impressed with what I have managed to achieve with your help. The best present I got was when my grandaughter told me that her mum had told her that she now had a new grandad. I will always remember those words for the rest of my life.

Mathew sharing his story of how he would bring on a fit through drinking and end up hurting himself. Panic attacks and insomnia did not help. Knowing that one day he may kill himself was still not sufficient enough reason to quit drinking. Mathew had tried the usual route to quit such as NHS funded rehab and the AA but nothing worked until he came to see us. Here is a letter of thanks received from him on 06/10/2009.
'Dear Mr Ali,
After receiving treatment from yourself for my drink addiction I have been Sober for 12 days and the desire to drink has left.
I have had family problems during these 12 days which in the past would have returned me to drink but since my session I have not felt the urge to drink and been able to face my problems head on.
I have been more relaxed, am feeling good in myself and I am also stopping at my parents as recommended. I thank you deeply for all your help.

Hi. A. Overall Things going v well. (apart from 2 occasions feeling weak/a failure/losing feeling of self-worth). Result. Tears+ Unhappyness but thankfully not the dispair I used to feel+ slightly Bit couple of nails but not badly, nothing like before. But did NOT touch alcohol. Hope y agree this is still doing well?

Hi shokat, its Jo here, came to see you wednesday and thursday. I had to txt and thank you so much. I cannot believe the change in myself. My partner thinks ive been abducted by aliens and replaced with a new woman! Although its only been 3 days this is the longest I have abstained from alcohol in over ten years. I havent even thought about it. This is nothing short of a miracle for me. I will be in touch in a couple of weeks and let you know how im doing. Also im posting the other cheques monday morning. Social occasions have been somewhat difficult but FEELING great the morning after makes up for it! I have not taken any sleeping pills. It has been amazing to have so many good nights sleep for the first time in many years. I have not suffered any acidity. I would say that apart from the usual aches & pains I FEEL approximately 16 years old not 60 years old. Oh and I am beating my husband at scrabble which I never did before. I look forward to seeing you in 3 months.

Tracey travelled all the way from Devon to see us. She decided to accept our offer of staying overnight at the Great Barr Hotel so she could see us over two days. She had a lot to lose. Five years of drinking had taken its toll on her life, health and marriage.

I had clients booked in back to back so I could only give her 2h of my time on day one. She was so anxious about failing yet again that she compromised the session. She just could not be hypnotised. I told her that she had not failed at all as we will turn things around for her the very next day when we would have more time. I asked her to come back the next day at 8 instead of 10.
She cried and drunk alcohol all night long and so when she came back in the morning she was worse for wear. In the four hours not only did I mange to get her to quit drinking but also managed to fit-in the ‘luggage of life programme’. She went home all smiles.
This is the post card she wrote to us two weeks later:
