Dear Shokat,
I am Pamela's father. Six weeks ago I was in despair over my daughter's health. Despite seeking NHS help over the past ten or more years she had just six weeks ago been diagnosed with OCD, with her behaviour complicated because of intense dependence on alcohol - to block out her nightmare thoughts.
Her physical health was at a critical stage – she could not eat, had stomach pains constantly and bouts of extreme anxiety and trembling.
What you have managed to do in a very remarkable space of time – three short weeks – is to take her back some twenty years to the sharp, lively, effervescent musician, performer, conductor, teacher she used to be.
I am still trying to take in the fantastic change in her, and to stop asking myself if I am dreaming all this.

Psychotropic drug horror stories
Just like the story above the health industry is hell bent on giving people anti-depressants to help them overcome insomnia, anger, phobia, OCD, social anxiety, heart-break, anxiety, depression or to help them overcome simple addictions like alcohol, cigarettes, cannabis, crack, cocaine or heroin. Not only does this procedure stall the healing process but in many cases it can make matters a lot worse.

Here is Rav who wants to remain anonymous, sharing his experience of quitting smoking the dreaded weed. After smoking cannabis for a 5 years he became totally dependent on this evil substance - he could not even sleep without smoking a joint. Rav came to see us on 24/09/2009 and this SMS text message on 14/10/2009:
Hello Mr Ali. Its Rav. All is well and going good. Was I suppose to call you after 2 weeks or 4? I will call you one evening this week.

Update, I've not had a cigarette (Still think of them daily as a empty feeling inside but don't want to, if that makes sense). I came to see you on the 21/08/2009 to quit drinking, smoking and gambling. That night I went to a wedding and even though there was a lot of alcohol being served, I had no inclination to drink. Later on, I was around the roulette table and I did not feel like placing a bet. I still had a slight craving for a cigarette and smoked about three cigarettes later on that day. However, by the next morning (after a sleep cycle) my desire for the cigarettes had evaporated into thin air.
By the time I came back for my third session I had decided that smoking was not a problem and I wanted to continue with this but Gambling was history. Also, as my gambling was driving me to the alcohol I had become a very responsible drinker after quitting gambling. I am very happy with the way things have gone.

Apologies for not ringing but I have left my mobile at home by mistake.
Everything is fine and despite 2 big social occassions I haven't succumbed. There have been moments when I have thought about having a drink, but they are getting further apart. I do feel much healthier and am now looking at some courses etc to do to promote interest in different things. Not sure if I need to ring you - I will be going out to South Africa on the 22nd November for 2 weeks. Should I make an appointment for mid January- 3 months since I saw you last?
