Horror stories where psychotropic drugs are used to deal with simple addictions
"I tried to quit smoking with Champix and my life turned into a living nightmare."
"Two years ago my doctor prescribed me the new wonder drug Champix to help me to quit smoking. I was very happy when I quit but two weeks later my life turned into a living nightmare. A dark cloud came over me and life just lost its meaning. I tried to push my loving and supportive partner away from me and I became really horrible towards my 10 year old son. I just could not understand the point of it all. Horrible suicidal thoughts started to cross my mind. I went to my GP a week later who threw the tablets in the nearest bin and assured me that I would be right as rain in about two weeks time. Two months went by and I was still yo-yoing between good and bad mood swings. Life had not improved that much. My GP then wanted to put me on anti-depressants which I refused after the experience I had with Champix - I did not want any more pills."
"Two years later my life had not improved that much so I came to see Shokat to quit smoking and to deal with my depression. After the first session I quit smoking - it was so easy. However, all of that horror of quitting with Champix came back with vengeance so a week later I came back for the 'Luggage of Life Programme'. It turned out that I was holding on to a lot of negative emotions from my past and taking Champix just exasperated the problem. Shokat took away all of the pain of my past, then he helped me deal with the trauma I suffered when taking Champix. After two years of misery I have learnt to smile again. I have come to appreciate my relationship with my partner and have become very close to my son."
"If only I knew people like you existed I would have never put myself though the misery of trying to quit with a dangerous psychotropic drug. This has been the best investment I have made in years. I know that my life will just continue to improve from now on.”
Lisa, Derbyshire.
"I tried to quit drinking with pharmaceutical drugs and my life lost its colour and meaning."
"I have been drinking alcohol for the last 25 years. When I went from one and half bottles per day to two bottles per day, I know I had a problem. I went to my GP who give me lots of drugs and vitamin pills to help me detoxify. He was afraid I would have fits if I came off the alcohol too quickly. The first thing I noticed after starting to take my pills was that my life lost its colour and living became meaningless. My libido dwindled to nothing and I lost all interest in sex which is completely unlike me. I also had terrible problems trying to sleep. Within weeks of my first detox I found myself drinking again. My GP wanted to put me on another detox programme but this time I refused."
"I rang Shokat who assured me that no one he know had suffered from a seizure by quitting drinking two bottles of wine per day. I came to see Shokat and after my first session I quit drinking. After the second session I was liberated from the pain of my turbulent past. I now sleep like a baby and my libido has returned with vengeance. I definitely got a lot more then I bargained for.”
Julie, Solihull.
"I tired to quit smoking with Zyban and ended up in hospital."
"I have been smoking for 20 years. In the last few years I have tried everything I possibly could to quit smoking. I read the Allan Carr book; I tried Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) numerous times without success. Then the doctor put me onto Zyban; I had blackouts and was carted off to the emergency room the very next day. I tried hypnotherapy twice while I was in Saudi Arabia and failed. Lastly my doctor put me onto Champix for 3-weeks which did absolutely nothing for me as far as my smoking was concerned but made me feel like a miesrable failure. The whole quitting saga and the repeated failure attempts made me very depressed."
"Shokat came highly recommended so I made an appointment to come and see him. My friend Davida had quit smoking with him over a year ago. I flew all the way from Saudi Arabia and stayed overnight in Birmingham. I quit smoking cigarettes on the very first day using his combined system (hypnosis, laser and bioresonance). On day two Shokat helped me with my weight and removed the trauma of my past failures at trying to quit smoking. The next day I thanked Shokat and few back to Dhahran feeling very proud at having achieved what had eluded me for so long – I had finally become a happy healthy non-smoker."
Several Months later:
"Now for the smoking…..I do think about it occasionally, but it is nothing like when I first stopped smoking. This has been the easiest transition for me in all my attempts at giving up smoking. I feel very confident that I will be able to abstain for a while. I don’t know if this is helpful for you to use on other customers, but one of the main things that prevented me from smoking is what you told me about how the bioresonance works. You said that it erases the memory of nicotine from my body. That I must say was the single motivating factor not to start again….I did not want to return that memory you had erased from my body. So to sum it up……all is good so far as the smoking is concerned."
Marion, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
“I became depressed after failing to quit smoking over and over again with anti-smoking drugs.”
“Having been a fairly heavy smoker for nearly 30 years, I had previously tried EVERY other method of quitting with varying degrees of short-term success, including hypnotherapy.”
“July 14 2009 marked my 15th month without a cigarette. This has, by far, been the easiest and most effective way to ‘quit’.
“I have had my moments and some days were harder than others, at least at the beginning, but - in the main - it has been a breeze.”
“I am a few pounds fatter, but a lot fitter. I smell better, I look better and I am sleeping more soundly. And, my family is a lot happier.”
“A notable side-effect has been a distinct lack of interest in drinking. Although I wouldn’t consider myself to have been a heavy drinker, I used to really enjoy a drink and a cigarette..now I’m as happy with a water or diet-coke.”
Davida, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
"Even some GPs have lost trust in the NHS addictions service."
We know of one doctor who has lost faith in the NHS smoking cessation service altogether - he says that every patient he has ever referred to this useless service has failed to quit smoking. Now he advises his patients to seek help outside the NHS. We are also beginning to see more and more people from the NHS drug rehabilitation services, smoking cessation advisers, PCT Managers, Consultants, Counselors, GPs and psychiatrists coming to use our services to help them quit smoking, drinking or taking drugs such as cocaine. In fact some GPs are referring members of their own family to us for help with mental health problems rather then sending them to see a psychiatrist. So if the NHS offering was so good then why are the NHS employees coming to use our services?
Here are a few of our clients on Video who sum up the pathetic NHS offering in their own way:
Psychotropic drug horror stories
Just like the stories above the health industry is hell bent on giving people anti-depressants to help them overcome anxiety, depression and even simple things like OCD. Not only does this procedure stall the healing process but in many cases can make matters worse.
Here we have collated more stories where psychotropic drugs were used to deal with simple emotional problems but ended up either killing people or ruining their lives:
