These days there are many different types of gambling pitfalls into which an “impulsive” gambler to fall. One of the most common is the lotto or scratch cards that are available everywhere you look. This makes beating gambling addictions even harder for the person trying to give up.
Most shops you go into whether it's the newsagent, off licence or supermarket all have these cards on sale. Gambling addicts would love to win the big one but still get a rush when they scratch off that silver strip and they have one just £1, this means that they can buy another card and hopefully win the big one on that.
If you fall into this category or you think you could be even worse then you should seek help on beating gambling addictions. Speak to your GP or look in your local phone book for Gamblers Anonymous who will be able to point you in the right direction. Talking to people about your addiction to gambling will also help you to see that you are not on your own and that you can stop throwing away your money on those lotto cards, casinos and internet sites. After all the only people that benefit from your gambling and the people who are taking the money from you.
